HER STORY
A medical graduate from Maulana Azad Medical College, India, she started her career working in the public health fields of reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child, and adolescent health.
In parallel to her mainstream work, she also founded Indian Aces, a Facebook page in 2014, to form the Indian sub-continent’s first support group for asexual community: IndianAces. She has since been credited for getting the ‘A’ added in the Indian LGBTQIA+ scene.
It was with Indian Aces that she began her journey towards bridging the gap between science, sexuality, sexual health, and sexual rights.
Today, her work has grown far beyond into the social impact spheres of sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice, gender based violence, positive masculinity, sexuality, non-sexuality, Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) Act, diversity and inclusion, equality and equity, and more. She runs a number of campaigns and initiatives on various issue areas.
She enjoys both academic and non-academic work, ranging from her unique research studies on sexuality, to developing novel models on human sexuality, to organizing rigorous training and workshops, including a pan-Asia level PanACEa conference, and even holding her unique Platonicity.co meetups for non-sexual matches!
My Story
In parallel to my work, I founded Indian Aces, a Facebook page in 2014, to form the Indian sub-continent’s first initiative for asexual people (IndianAces.org).
There began my journey towards bridging the gap between science, sexuality, and sexual rights.
Today, my work has grown far beyond, to include work on gender, positive masculinity, sexuality, non-sexuality, Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) Act, diversity and inclusion, and equality, equity, and justice.
Within these fields, I enjoy both academic and non-academic work, ranging from my research studies on sexuality and presenting them at conferences, to developing novel models and theories based on the same, to organizing rigorous training and workshops, to holding some rather unique meetups!
